About
Wiper and True's Charity Partners programme is a simple fundraising scheme for organisations close to our hearts. Each month, a different charity is nominated by our very own team members. With your help and support, we then raise as much money as possible for the selected charity.
In April, we supported Pledgeball, a charity who work to encourage sports fans to engage with environmental issues. We're delighted to announce that we raised £704.06 to support their work, so thank you to each and every one of you who helped.
Our May Charity Partner
This month, Wiper and True are raising money for Bristol Borderline Personality Disorder Collective (BBPDC).
This is a grassroots community project that helps deliver weekly in-person peer support to anyone living with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD/EUPD), Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD), individuals who experience emotional dysregulation/strong emotions and other BPD or CPTSD traits.
BBPDC is founded by our very own Jade Estelle Harrison, who is the Facilities Manager here at Wiper and True.
Find out more about the charity on the BBPDC website here.
How do we raise money?
- We donate: we will donate £1 from every entry fee to our pub quiz. If you'd like to come along and support, find out more info info here.
-
Karma Keg: each month at our Bristol Taprooms we will choose a designated 'Karma Keg'. Usually an exciting new release, we'll donate 100% of the profits from this keg to our chosen charity. We will mark the chosen Karma Keg clearly on our beer menus - all you have to do is order a pint!
- You donate: you may have noticed the option to add an additional charity donation when checking out an order on our online shop. We'll collect these additional donations for our chosen charity for a whole month, then make a lump sum donation at the end of the month.
We know that charities find it difficult to budget for social activities. With that in mind, we also gift our monthly charity partner a £75 bar tab.
Join us to support this cause
As part of our fundraising, there'll be an awareness drive at The Barrel Store, St. Werburghs on Wednesday 8th & Thursday 9th May from 4pm - 7pm. If you're interested in learning more about the charity, this is the perfect to opportunity to come along and have a chat with the BBPDC team.
