Wiper and True are on a mission to reach Net Zero by 2030. There’s a lot of work to be done before we hit that ambitious goal, but we’ve been thinking about ways to reduce our impact on the planet ever since our founders cooked up their first batch of homebrew on their kitchen hob.
A few things we’re particularly proud of so far
We use cutting-edge technology to capture carbon dioxide produced during beer’s fermentation, preventing its release into the atmosphere. The CO2 is cleaned, stored and reused elsewhere in our brewing and packaging processes, creating a closed loop and reducing our carbon footprint.
We capture and re-use carbon dioxide produced in fermentation, preventing its release into the atmosphere and reducing our footprint.
Our brewery roof is covered in a 159kW solar array, which covers a large proportion of our electricity demand.
It’s not glamorous, but cardboard is huge in the brewing game. Ours is all Forest Stewardship Council certified, sealed shut with recyclable paper tape.
There's no plastic packaging in Wiper and True beer deliveries; our boxes are carefully closed with recyclable paper tape.
Our beer is brewed with the help of the sun’s power, thanks to a roof full of solar panels at our Old Market brewery and taproom. This 159 kW array generates power even on cloudy days!
