As Wiper and True continues to grow, so does our responsibility to reduce our environmental impact. Our latest Carbon Footprint Report shows that while our overall emissions increased alongside production, we're becoming significantly more carbon-efficient with every pint we brew. You could say, we're taking Steady Steps.
In 2025, our packaged output grew from 11,028 HL to 15,153 HL, helping us produce more beer for every tonne of carbon emitted. As a result, our emissions intensity fell to 79.0 kgCO₂e per hectolitre, continuing a positive trend from 84.6 kgCO₂e/HL in 2024 and 92.4 kgCO₂e/HL in 2022.
We're also performing well on energy efficiency, using 26.1% less electricity and 13.9% less natural gas per hectolitre than industry benchmarks. While our water use remains above the current benchmark, we've introduced ambitious new reduction targets and are already seeing encouraging progress.
Like most breweries, the majority of our carbon footprint comes from our wider supply chain, including ingredients, packaging and transport, with grain remaining our single biggest contributor.
Reducing our emissions intensity while increasing production has been a major focus for us. It shows we're not only benefiting from greater efficiency as we grow, but also making the right investments and operational improvements to brew more sustainably.
