Summer Sessions with Miss Mash, Nathan Worm (Hot Wax Records Takeover)

We’ve teamed up with Bristol legends Worm Disco Club to bring you Summer Sessions—a three-month run of free Friday parties in our sunny Old Market beer garden, powered by the Minirig Doppler Soundsystem.

- Hot Wax Records Takeover -

Opened last October by Nathan Worm—founder of the Worm Disco Club, a veteran DJ/selector of over 17 years, and the booker for the Summer Sessions series—Hot Wax is the culmination of a life built around music. As a dedicated vinyl lover, experienced concept producer, and hospitality veteran, opening his own storefront was the perfect next step for Nathan.

Since its launch, Hot Wax has quickly established itself as a must-visit destination for vinyl enthusiasts. It’s a true digger’s paradise, stocking everything from timeless classics to obscure gems across a wide range of genres—perfect for curious music lovers looking for something far beyond standard mainstream pop or indie. Alongside the crates, the shop stocks second-hand CDs, books, merch, art prints, and accessories, all served up alongside the welcoming vibes, great coffee, and delicious pastries of the attached ‘Old Drum-Bank Cafe’.

Adding to the shop's community spirit is Miss Mash (Masha), a stellar Bristol DJ and Worldwide FM resident who frequently mans the counter. For this upcoming Summer Sessions, Nathan and Masha are stepping out from behind the counter to team up behind the decks for the very first time. They’ll be going B2B all night long for an epic, six-hour deep dive into their eclectic, world-class record bags.
