Jazz to Jungle

For the fourth installment of Jazz to Jungle, series curator Nathan Worm invites two exceptional special guests to the Wiper & True taproom: DJ Doubt and Kat Brakery.

The concept is simple but ambitious: an all-night, back-to-back DJ marathon mapping a continuous musical journey from ‘Jazz to Jungle’. Progression is the name of the game here. Hour by hour, the excursion will evolve—starting with Be-Bop and dancefloor jazz, sliding into funk, stepping up into jazzy and deep house, transitioning through broken beat and UKG, before finally peaking with high-energy jungle.

If you love dance music with a serious groove, this one's for you. The last few sessions have brought a fantastic vibe to the taproom, and if the sun is shining, we’ll be moving the entire party out into the beer garden.

The Line-up:

  • Nathan Worm: Founder of the long-running Bristol institution Worm Disco Club, a selector with over 18 years of experience, and the proprietor of Hot Wax Records.
  • Kat Brakery: Co-founder of Bristol’s formidable Brakery crew.
  • DJ Doubt: A relentless selector renowned for killer jungle and hardcore sets, alongside a deep collection of multi-genre gems.
