We’re excited to announce that Wiper and True won 2 awards at this year’s World Alcohol-Free Awards. We've brought home a gold medal for our 0.5% Kaleidoscope, and bronze for our alcohol-free lager Tomorrow.
WHAT ARE THE WORLD ALCOHOL-FREE AWARDS?
The awards is the largest alcohol-free drinks competition across the world, focusing on products with alcohol levels of 0.5% ABV or below. This year the competition was stiff, with 450 entries received from 21 countries.
The World Alcohol-Free Awards is judged by eminent non-alcoholic specialist tasters from seven different countries across Europe, North America and the UK. Each medal-winning entry was tasted up to 12 times by the judges, who awarded a total of 58 Golds, 87 Silvers, and 110 Bronze medals.
WIPER AND TRUE PRIZE WINNERS
We’re delighted that the 0.5% Kaleidoscope, which was released in time for Dry January 2024, received a gold medal and high praise from the judges.
In their tasting notes, the judges commented: “Hazy yellow with good carbonation and head. This shows wafts of tropical fruit followed up by subtle citrus on the nose and palate, with a gentle biscuity malt supplying depth. Medium levels of bitterness and totally dry. A neatly put-together quaffer for end of work recharging or a post-exercise treat.”

0.5% Kaleidoscope is an alcohol-free take on our flagship Pale Ale: 4.2% Kaleidoscope. This refreshing, flavour-packed beer offers bright citrus and vibrant fruit flavours, balanced with gentle, clean bitterness.
Our skilful brewers use premium quality ingredients to brew full-strength alcoholic beers, then slowly process the beer through market-leading technology to gently remove all but 0.5% of the alcohol. This approach preserves the maximum possible flavour and aroma, leading to the best tasting alcohol-free beers possible.
The same process is used on our alcohol-free lager, Tomorrow, which received a bronze medal. Our refreshing unfiltered lager offers flavours of bread crust, and gentle herbal notes from traditional German hops, balanced by a crisp, clean finish.
Speaking about Tomorrow, the judges remarked: “Warm hay and stewed apple with a grassy finish. Good carbonation with weight and texture on the palate.”
